The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Braes Golf Centre comprises of four main areas;
- The Function Room, which can accommodate up to 150 guests.
- Ollie’s Bar, the ‘member’s lounge, which can hold up to 40
- The Craw’s Nest, our upstairs hospitality suite overlooking the golf course with views across the Forth to Fife
- The Beer Garden, which wraps around the side of the building and can host in excess of 100 guests…..a great place to be!

Catering
We offer a comprehensive range of refreshments including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, teas, coffees, and soft drinks.
History
We have always been a community club and recently redeveloped the course. Braes Golf Centre was created from Polmont Golf Club, which was founded in 1901. The course was moved from Polmont to its present location at Maddiston, Falkirk, in 1975/1976.
Re-named Braes Golf Centre, our nine-hole venue has enjoyed a significant jump in membership. We have taken on nearly 200 members, and we continue to go from strength to strength.
The combination of great greens, generous fairways and multiple tee positions provide an unrivalled choice of distance and angles, and also incorporates our PAR 3 course which flows through the main course itself.
The Venue
‘The Venue’ is the name of our ‘hospitality’ business, which operates from the Braes Golf Centre clubhouse. The restaurant has stunning views across the golf course, all the way to The Ochils and the River Forth. With scenic surroundings, it is a great destination for hospitality.
‘The Venue’ is a special facility at the club to come together with members, friends, and family, and comprises four main areas;
- The Function Room, which can accommodate up to 150 guests.
- Ollie’s Bar, the ‘member’s lounge, which can hold up to 40
- The Craw’s Nest, our upstairs hospitality suite overlooking the golf course with tremendous views across the Forth to Fife, holds up to 40.
- The Beer Garden, which wraps around the side of the building and holds in excess of 100 guests
The Venue provides a great community facility for;

- Special occasions
- Charity events
- and other functions
The Venue is a modern, affordable, spacious and welcoming place where people can enjoy that ‘special celebration’ or other event.
Additionally, The Venue can be booked for corporate meetings and events, providing a space away from the typical work environment. Full hospitality is available, including catering.
Social Events
Whilst we would never pretend that the social side is more important than the game itself, we take our social activities seriously!
With ‘The Venue’ being on site, with it’s well-stocked bar and superb hospitality, we are very well set up for socials. What better way to get to know your fellow members and become an integral part of the club?
There is always room for social events at the club, and we would welcome any ideas and suggestions. The social calendar at the Club brings plenty of opportunities to enjoy the golf and nurture that sense of belonging to our great club. We regularly hold GOLF DAYS, CHARITY EVENTS, LOCAL CLUBS OUTINGS and CORPORATE OUTINGS.
