Braes Golf Centre is the operating name of the golfing and hospitality venue on the site of the former Polmont Golf Club. The course was built in 1976 although the original Polmont Golf Club dates back over 100 years so there is a bit of ‘heritage’ here !
The whole site extends to some 90 acres including generous practice facilities.
In 2020, the site was bought by Steve Matthews, a local businessman and lifelong golf fan. Steve’s vision is to create a top class facility that caters for every standard of golfer, beginner to club champion, and to be an inclusive and welcoming place for all.
We are here for a good time, not a long time, so its important we make the most of our golfing time. There after loads of good 18 hole courses around Central Scotland if that’s what you want, however, 18 holes can often be just too time consuming, or physically demanding for many, so 9 is the new 18 for many people these days!

Steve believes that any good golf course should have the following common denominators
• Fair to everyone, regardless of ability
• Be pleasing on the eye, and
• Be good value for money
We believe we are well on the journey to providing all of the above. And we are very easy to get to:
M9, Junction 4 is 2 miles away
M8, Junction 4 is 6 miles away
And we have loads of parking so no need to squeeze in!
Formality?
No, we don’t believe in that. Just go out there and enjoy yourself!
Please respect the course, the staff, the facilities and the other players and, oh, there’s no dress code to speak of…..but please don’t wear football colours as these sometimes can have a negative effect on others, if you know what we mean !!
The Golf Club welcomes members, guests and visitors alike and is a destination for people of every golfing ability and ambition. We all started somewhere…..why not Braes Golf Centre? For young and more mature alike, beginners to club champions.
A Party Place.
Braes Golf Centre is at the heart of the rapidly expanding Maddiston area. It’s the only licensed hospitality venue/bar for approx. 1.5 miles.
The Golf Centre is open to members, guests, visitors and locals. Same rules apply……enjoy yourself and respect others !
In addition to the traditional golfing activities at Braes Golf Centre, The Venue will soon be developing its own facilities for camping, caravanning and pods/lodges.
These will be sited on areas of the estate currently not used for golfing activities, but close enough to the clubhouse for amenities.
